Three years ago, Dana Locklear started volunteering with GO Pantry while looking for service opportunities for her middle schooler. She liked it so much that she kept coming back, both alone and with her daughter, who is now in 11th grade. She loves being able to help others while also modeling for her children what we are called on to do as Christians…love, serve, and take care of one another.
Dana’s favorite part about GO Pantry is the people. She says, “The people who work in the GO Pantry warehouse are very welcoming and passionate about what they do. I also enjoy meeting other volunteers. It’s a great environment to be in. It makes you want to keep coming back.” We love having you, too, Dana!
Dana is also passionate about our mission, feeding hungry children. As a former elementary school teacher, she knows how hard it is for children to learn when they are hungry and worrying about food.
In her spare time, Dana likes spending time with her family and friends. She is her kids’ biggest fan at sporting, band, art, and 4H events. She also enjoys traveling, crafting and crocheting. In addition to GO Pantry, she likes to volunteer for events at her kids’ schools and other organizations in Northern Kentucky.
Dana, we are so happy that you find time in your busy schedule to volunteer at GO Pantry every chance you get! We are so grateful for you!
